AIR - Attitudes in Reverse offers many programs, when combined, these programs remind students through out the year that there are many people; their friends, family members or classmates who may be living each day with a mental health disorder.
Alliance for Safe Kids - Their mission is to promote awareness and prevention of substance use/ abuse and other destructive behaviors damaging to our youth. ASK is a collaboration within the community aimed at providing youth with the information and skills needed to make healthy decisions while emphasizing the need for families to protect and nurture their children by getting informed and staying involved.
American Association of Suicidology - Charitable nonprofit organization that provides a lot of information and resources to those experiencing suicide ideation or a loss to suicide. They also provide educational resources, including stats, facts and myths.
Drug Rehab - Resource for those dealing with substance abuse issues. Alcohol and drug abuse are among the leading risk factors for suicide. People with substance abuse may experience hopelessness and suicidal thoughts, but treatment for addiction has helped people find purpose and happiness in life.
Hope After Suicide Loss - Peer-support and hope to all who have lost a loved one to suicide. Provides closed suicide loss support groups.
Hope For the Day - 501 (c)(3) non profit working in proactive suicide prevention through outreach, events, education and activism within the punk rock music communities. They believe in meeting people where they're at, not where we expect them to be and that it's okay to not be okay.
Rehab Spot - A rehab website with suicide support citing the link between substance abuse and suicide.
Samaritans - Servicing those with suicidal ideation, offering 24 hour support to those in the U.K.; England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
SOLOS - Survivors Of Loved Ones to Suicide; founded by Jennifer Cagle-Huffman who lost her beloved mother to suicide in 1998. SOLOS offers closed peer-support groups for survivors of a loved ones suicide to talk openly and seek solace with others who are also in bereavement with this unique loss.
Trans Lifeline - National trans-led organization dedicated to improving the quality of trans lives by responding to the critical needs of the community with direct service, material support, advocacy, and education. Their vision is to fight the epidemic of trans suicide and improve overall life-outcomes of trans people by facilitating justice-oriented, collective community aid.
The Recovery Village - Includes valuable information on mental health support, co-occurring disorders, and treatment options as well as phone numbers for alcohol/drug abuse resources.
The Trevor Project - provides 24/7 support to suicidal LGBTQ youth (13 - 24). It was founded in 1998 by the producers of the Academy-Award winning short film, TREVOR.
To Write Love On Her Arms - Nonprofit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.
Veteran's Crisis Line - Provides 24/7 support to all Service people; including the National Guard.
Veterans & Substance Abuse - An extension of the Drug Rehab resource that specializes in substance abuse related to veterans.
